KNITTING NEEDLES NEEDED
A school has requested a need for knitting needles. Anyone who has needles they would like to donate, please bring to the next meeting

Community Service continues to collect facecloths and helmet liners for soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan.

MD Anderson
contacted us and requested chemo caps and lap blankets.  If anyone is truly committed to making these items Chix With Sticks is willing to purchase the yarn.  Contact Christine Schmitz.

Soldiers' Helmet Liners
We will be knitting helmet warmers for our soldiers in Afghanistan.
The website links for the helmet liners are as follows:

If members do not wish to do liners, face cloths and socks are also being collected.  Washable wool or animal fibers are recommended and acceptable colors are posted in the instructions.  Shades of Cascade 220 Superwash and Super Aussie Merino superwash are also recommended.
