DESCRIPTION:Join us for KNIT’s hybrid meetings. We meet on ZOOM\, and If you want to join the ZOOM meeting with other KNIT members\, you can meet at Trini Mendenhall and ZOOM from there. We miss those of you who haven’t been able to ZOOM. We will mask up and be safe at the Community Center.\n\nOur November meeting is a continuation of the Stitch Rodeo with live stitch demonstrations as we get ready for our Traveling Afghan donation. KNIT members will share a stitch technique and related patterns. It is a lot of fun. We have some surprises for KNIT members as well. We are closing 2020 with awesome knitting and crafting and have fun plans for 2021. You won’t want to miss.

DESCRIPTION:Allyn Wise will be teaching us how to use Magic Loop for working in the round on hats\, socks\, or other small objects.\nIf you are not a KIND member and want to attend\, please email kangwebmaster@gmail.com for a link to the meeting. \nHomework: \nUsing worsted weight yarn and the appropriate size needle\, cast on 32 stitches onto a circular needle at least 24″ long.  A longer needle works just as well.  Multi-ply yarn will be better for newbies than using a single ply yarn\, but if all you have is single ply\, use it.

DESCRIPTION:Our program for November and December will be an Easy-Peasy Mini Christmas KAL. \nJoin Connie Blakley to learn how to knit two simple Christmas designs — a mini elf and mini Christmas trees. In November\, we will begin with the elf\, which is knit from top down\, all in one piece. In December\, we will learn to knit the tree\, which is knit flat\, has bobbles\, and is shaped with short rows\, then “sewn” together using 3-needle bind off technique. Materials for the elf: 2mm (US size 0) DPNs\, ~25 grams sock/fingering yarn in Christmas colors\, small amount of white sock yarn for the head. Materials for the tree: ~14 grams green DK or sport yarn\, 3.5mm (US size 4) DPNs\, scrap yarn and crochet hook for provisional cast on. \nPlease notify Andrea Conrad\, President\, if you wish to attend.
