I hope this month’s topic catches you when you are getting close to putting your sweater together. This month we will delve into seaming. We will be seaming horizontally\, vertically\, and cast-on to cast-off.\nYou must prepare and block several small swatches in worsted-weight yarn to participate. Please use a long-tail cast-on and a regular bind-off.\nPlease make two 3″ x 6″ swatches and two 3″ x 3″ squares. It might be easiest if they aren’t in variegated yarn. Bring the swatches\, a ruler\, calculator or other way to do math\, a pencil\, a yarn needle\, and yarn scraps to use in seaming. As part of our Adventures in Sweater Knitting series\, we will be learning several cast-ons that can be used for starting a sweater. Cathy Drake will be demonstrating the tubular cast-on in ribbing\, the picot edge cast-on and the folded edge cast-on (and more if we have time). Please bring yarn and appropriate-sized needles to practice.  \n  \nAs always\, visitors and guild members are welcome to join us at Spring Creek BBQ.
