DESCRIPTION:Members from other chapters are most welcome. Please send an email request to the KNOW president a few days ahead of the meeting and you will be emailed a Zoom invitation. \nThis month\, KNOW members will once again delve into the wonderful world of slipped stitches. Many slip stitch patterns are done with yarn held on the wrong side (like in mosaic knitting)\, but others slip stitches with the yarn on the right side. We will explore one of the latter\, a pattern that results in an interesting wavy\, woven look in multi colors\, but uses one color at a time. To try it out at the meeting\, select a yarn in two or more contrasting solid colors and bring appropriately sized needles.

SUMMARY:KNIT Meeting
DESCRIPTION:October starts Stitch Rodeo. Using knit and crochet blocks from the Traveling Afghans by Two of Wands\, KNIT is making an afghan while learning and demonstrating new stitches. For October and November\, we will share and practice new stitch patterns. This is a great way to learn new stitch techniques\, and when the blocks have been completed a KNIT member volunteered to join them together for a completed charity afghan. \nWe always do “Show and Share”\, and we will talk more about the Summer of Socks\, Two-at-a-Time\, KAL experience. Paula will email the Zoom invitation — see you there! Look for the emails about the Traveling Afghans even if you can’t ZOOM. Members of other KANG Chapters are welcome to join us; please email kik@knitatnight.org to receive an invite to join our meeting. \nMembers should send pictures of their finished projects by Thursday the 17th for a show and share using PowerPoint. \nWe will be knitting samples of brioche for the program to start a two color brioche cowl. \nSupplies:  A dark and light color DK weight yarn\, US size 4 circular needles about 24-32″\, a stitch marker. \nHomework:  Knit 2 starter samples of 4 and 5 row stockinette using 25 cast on stitches. The 4 row sample will be in the darker color and the 5 row sample will be in the lighter color.
