She will present a variety of cable stitches\, their uses\, cable needles\, and descriptions. We will look at a chart and a written pattern for the same sample\, learn how cable stitches appear on the chart\, how they are used in patterns\, then how to make them—with and without a cable needle. DESCRIPTION:Knitters Night Out West (KNOW) – Monday\, September 25\, 6:30pm – 8:30pm \nWHEN: Last Monday of the month (Except May and December)\, 6:30-8:30pm \nWHERE: Spring Creek Barbeque\, 21000 Katy Freeway\, I-10 at Westgreen Blvd\, Katy\, TX \nThe KNOW chapter will be starting a sock KAL. Bring your sock measurements from the August program\, yarn of your choice (fingering\, sock\, DK\, or sport weight recommended) and appropriate-sized needles for that yarn. \nWe will be discussing top-down vs toe-up socks\, using DPNs vs Magic Loop vs short circs and we will be doing a wee bit of math. We will cast-on our socks and start knitting! \nMany members come early and get their BBQ fix for dinner.
