The Knit At Night Guild (K.A.N.G.) is a group of knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers & fiber artists in the greater Houston, TX area.

KANG was founded in 1996 by Denise Winter and Jane Sheppard to accommodate knitters who worked during the day and could only meet in the evenings. We have now five chapters with meetings held during the day, the evening, and on weekends as well.

Each chapter's monthly meeting usually features a program taught by an instructor on a topic related to knitting or fiber arts, members can Show & Share their latest projects, discuss guild business, and a door prize is awarded. The guild is also active in charity knitting. There have been special workshops with legendary instructors such as Margaret Stove, Nancy Bush, Lily Chin, Sally Melville, Lucy Neatby, Nancie Wiseman, Ann Budd, and many more.

Annual membership runs from August 01 - July 31 and costs $25 by check or $27 online via Paypal. Our meetings are open to the public; you may attend up to three meetings before membership is required.
