Holiday Party! Please bring something yummy to share for everyone to eat and join us for the party! A gift exchange will happen so if you'd like to participate please bring a yarn/fiber/knitting related gift. Keep gift amount under $15.
Are you Bi-crafty? Our own Linda Demaray will introduce us to crochet basics! If you knit, crochet makes wonderful edging and cast-ons. If you crochet, please come and help those of us as we learn to crochet. No homework; just bring a J or K hook and some worsted weight yarn!
At January's meeting we will learn how to make sturdy, neat buttonholes. For homework, using a light-colored DK or worsted weight yarn, cast on 12 stitches and knit 4 rows. Don't bind off, just leave your stitches on the needle.
Get the wool truth! SoCK will gather for the first (of three) Craftsy class viewing that will help you get a nuanced understanding of different fiber types and the best use for each type of wool. Knit while you watch and jot down things you've learned for future reference!
For January's program, we will have a Sock knit along. We will be learning a two-at-a-time on two needles technique.
