Knitting in the Daytime (KIND)

The program for the October 19th KIND meeting will be presented by Valarie Nicholson. The topic for the program will be Russian Grafting, an alternative to the Kitchener Stitch, which uses a crochet hook rather than a darning needle.

Homework:

Materials:

• One swatch using worsted weight yarn
• 2 dpns and a crochet hook sized for your yarn, example 6-9 sized needles= a K hook.

Make one swatch

Cast on 20 stitches and knit in Stockinette stitches for about 2 inches ending with a knit row.
Transfer stitches evenly onto the dpns.
