Homework will be as follows:
Knit a square approximately 5″ by 5″ in a worsted weight yarn in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row).
Don’t cast on or bind off too tightly since we will crochet into these stitches.
A smooth light colored yarn would best.
Please block the square beforehand and bind in the ends.
Bring:
- the knitted stockinette stitch square
- more yarn in the same color
- 4 stitch markers to put in the corners
- a crochet hook half a metric size larger than the needle size used
- (If you use size 7 / 4.5 mm needles bring a size 8 H 5mm crochet hook).
Skills required: Need to know how to do chain, single and double crochet stitches.
