Knit & Chat Nite
Join us for a relaxing evening of knitting and conversation.
The evening’s topic will be:
Do you like textured knitting? Do you have a favorite stitch pattern? Or one you tried and hated so much it became a UFO?
Feel free to bring problem knitting if you need help, charity projects, and of course anything you want to show. We’d love to see some of those finished necklaces!

Katy Lace Knitters
Katy Lace Knitters will meet on Tuesday, April 2nd, at 11 am at Luby’s on South Mason Road. Bring your current lace project to show or get help with a problem. Stay after the meeting to visit and eat lunch.
Want your work to look professional? Want to see those lace stitches you toiled over bloom? Want to take your knitting up a level? Blocking is the answer!!
Our own Nancy Polychronopoulos will take us through the all important skill of blocking.
Bring your questions!
We will be sharing gadgets that make knitting/crochet easy. Please bring your favorite gadget that you use. We will be also making portable counters.
Have you ever wondered about the origins of knitting? Stopped to think, who came up with the idea of taking two sticks and some string and making a sock? Just how old is knitting? What were the first knitted items? Wonder no more. Come learn about the beginnings of knitting through the medieval period. Learn about where knitting began and what people in the dark ages knitted. There will be pictures of pieces from the medieval age, reproductions, and patterns based upon historical pieces. All taught by a noble woman from the 1300s.
Welcome back everyone! As we embark on another year of adventure in knitting, crocheting, as well as other needle crafts, input and suggestions are needed from our chapter members. Bring your ideas and let’s brainstorm together!
This will be a knowledge meeting. Bring your latest gadgets, book, website, technique and even your projects that are still on the needles or hooks to share with fellow knitters and crocheters.
The October meeting of KIK will be a Roundtable share from members who have been on a yarn crawl, went to a workshop or trunk show recently. Tell us about what you learned and where you’ve been!
