The Handover Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd at 8:30a-11:30a at the Trini Mendenhall Community Center!
Meeting is intended for all outgoing and incoming members of the Executive Board and the Chapter Presidents. Membership persons from the chapter level also welcome.
Please bring your green KANG binder for the handover meeting!!
Refreshments will be provided.
KIK President Maggie was selected to host a KnitStars meetup!
It will take place at the same time and place as the normal KIK chapter meeting.

Last month we discussed how to read knitting charts with some tips and tricks. Elizabeth Jackson from SOCK joined us. We love having guests!
This month the KIK group will be starting a KAL of the Cassapinka Olive Pink Shawl. It is a great shawl that uses 4 different colors/skeins of sock weight yarn and teaches many different stitches and techniques.
This month we will focus on how to read charts. If you have specific questions, please bring them!

KIK will be hosting the first charity knit along of 2025 on February 8, 12:30 – 4 at Kingwood Country Club.
It will take place in the boardroom at 1700 Lake Kingwood Trail, Kingwood, TX 77339.
Parking is open, the boardroom is closest to the right side of the building as you are coming down the street.
We will be having Gloria Trowbridge as our speaker. She is a Nurse Navigator from Texas Women’s Hospital, and works with breast cancer patients. This is via zoom at 1:00.

At our meeting in October we learned about Knit Companion, shared WIPs and FOs.
We also talked about charity knitting for the Neonatal ICU at Memorial Hermann NE and some of the items they need.
In November we will be having a class on assigned pooling and the designer of the Summer’s Meadow Shawl will be joining us.
