KNOW Mtg – Knit-A-Long

KNOW Mtg – Knit-A-Long

We begin our annual KAL this month.  This will be a short 1 month KAL.  We will be knitting hats for charity, and have plenty of donated yarn for this purpose.  Please bring needles in the 9 to 11 range to start a hat at the meeting.  Pick out some of the donated yarn and start your hat.  The hats will be collected at the February meeting to be distributed.

Materials:

  • US 9 – 11 size needles

KNOW Mtg – Holiday Party

This month KNOW will be on December 12, instead of the day after Christmas.

Please join us in celebrating the Holiday season!  We will be having our annual yarn gift exchange.  Please bring a skein of yarn worth approximately $25 if you would like to participate.  There will be holiday treats and we will have a fun swap.  It is not required to participate in the swap to attend the meeting.

A group of our members arrive early to eat before the meeting. Please feel free to join us

KNOW Mtg – Show us your favorites!

Everyone has that favorite project, pattern, yarn, or notion.  This is something that is not one of your current show and share items(unless it is one of your favorites).  Maybe it’s yarn that been in your stash for years, a project that you have always loved, or a notion that you can’t live without.  Please bring yours to our November meeting for a mega show and share.  Be prepared to tell us why it is your favorite – Is it super cozy or squishy?, Was it super challenging?  It is a quick knit that is great for gift-giving? Maybe it holds some sentimental meaning.

KNOW – Slipping Stitches

KNOW – Slipping Stitches

October brings “Slipping Stitches”. We would love to ask our members to share examples of knit pieces and experiences from their own slip stitch projects. We will offer a handout and information on conquering this wonderful technique.
