KIND Meeting – Vertical Stranding **TIME CHANGE**

**TIME CHANGE**

We will be meeting at 1p in the Annex, instead of our usual 10a time…!!

KIND members will be going up in the world of knitting.

We’ll sample vertical stranding (aka colors that climb) where you carry a contrast color up in your knitting instead of along the rows like traditional stranding.

To try it out, bring two contrasting colors of the same or similar yarn and appropriate needles.

SoCK Meeting – Eek! Let’s Steek (pt. 2)

For January’s meeting, Annette Willis introduced us to steeking and when it is used in knitting.

This month, we will steek the coffee cozy we made during and after the January meeting. For those who may have missed the January meeting, “Steek this Coffee Cozy” by Rachel Molenaar, is the free pattern we used.

If you want something simpler, cast on about 40 stitches in worsted weight yarn and knit about a 3-4-inch band in the round. We will provide all the supplies to steek your cozy. If you have ever steeked a project, please bring it to show the group.
