Last weekend was our annual retreat at Camp Lone Star in La Grange, TX. It was a great weekend where we learned some new fiber arts skills. Friday we dyed bandanas using flowers and dried bugs! (Who knew that dried bugs make bright pink spots on cloth!) We sprinkled the wet bandanas with pieces of flowers and/or bugs, wrapped them tightly and steamed them.  On Saturday, we learned how to embroider on top of a knitted swatch. In addition, we had lots of prizes, games, puzzles, as well as time to just sit and knit. I’m looking forward to next year’s retreat!
