The January KIND meeting will be held on Jan. 16, 10am at Bayland Community Center. Jan Clark will take us through the techniques needed to make a mitered square project! Bring assorted colors of scrap yarn, a safety pin to mark your “right side” and appropriate size needles. Jan used sock yarn for her project. We will work through picking up stitches and double decreases. And we will discuss different mitered square projects to spark your imagination. Join us in the new year with mitered squares.

KIND Meeting – Holiday potluck
The KIND meeting will be held on Friday, Dec. 6 – please note the change in day for this month’s meeting only! We will have a holiday potluck and continue working on the KAL that we started last month. If you didn’t sign up for a sweet or savory snack to bring at last month’s meeting, please let Marsha Smith (marshasmith2@gmail.com) know what you will bring.
KIND Meeting – Blocking
DATE CHANGE FOR KIND OCTOBER MEETING!
Due to a conflict at the Bayland Center, the October KIND meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 22. Time is 10am-noon, as usual.
Please join us to learn what a difference blocking can make to your finished items. Marsha Smith will have the same patterns, blocked and unblocked, for comparison, and will demonstrate how to block a small face cloth.
KIND Meeting – Yarn Substitution
Do you have a pattern you like but don’t want to use the yarn the pattern calls for? Sandy Zeringue, formerly of Knitting in the Loop, will talk about what to look for when substituting yarn.
The KIND chapter meets on the third Friday of each month from 10am to noon at the Bayland Community Center. The Center is located at 6400 Bissonnet, near Bissonnet and Hillcroft.
