KNOT Mtg – Fiber Fest from a Vendor
Shelley Martella, owner of Threads & Ewe, will speak about fiber festivals from the vendor’s side of the table. Her online shop sells both yarn and quilting fabric, and she will bring some of each to sell. KNOT Mtg – Yarn Store Field Trip
Our next meeting will be from 6:30-8:30pm on September 28 at a new yarn shop, Yarn Haven and Boutique, 8900 Eastloch Drive, Suite 300in Spring. The owner, Doris Scott, will be introducing her shop and telling about the latest trends in knitting and crochet. The shop’s website is www.yarnstoreboutique.com.
KNOT Mtg – Planning for the New Knit Year
We welcome all who would like to contribute to shaping our 2018 and 2019 Programs. The second half of our meeting will be a sit, knit and share meeting. All are welcome to attend and please introduce yourself to our new KNOT President, Susan Motycka. Thank you Susan and we look forward to the upcoming knitting year!
KNOT Mtg – Dyeing Demo
Knitters North of Town (KNOT) will not be meeting at our regular time or place in July!
Instead we will be meeting at 10:30am at Mohair &More (231 Gibbs Street, New Waverly, Texas 77358) for a dying Demonstration with Louise and Bill Lane. Yarn and fiber will be available for purchase as your canvas for dying and the artist in you will be revealed! If you plan on attending please contact Louise at 936-661-8022. This will give her an idea of how many to look forward to coming. Bring your knitting and crochet and enjoy visiting with fiber friends.
KNOT Mtg – “Pic-Knit”
It will be a summer “pic-knit”. Bring your favorite potluck dish to share and get ready for a night of social knitting. We’ll also be discussing plans for attending Houston’s FiberFest, which starts the next day.
KNOT Mtg – Kumihimo Braiding
Paula Fortenberry will present Kumihimo braiding! Please bring scissors that you don’t mind cutting paper with and two highly contrasting smooth yarns from dk to worsted.
KNOT Mtg – Mystery Spring Project
Our planned program will be a mystery springtime project. Homework will be assigned at the February meeting and will also appear in next month’s KANG newsletter.
KNOT Mtg – Triangular Loom
Tommie Merchant will be giving us a demo of working on her triangular loom. Please join us in February for a unique and interesting program.

KNOT Mtg – Cast-on, Bind-off
The KNOT January meeting will focus on cast-on and bind-off pairs. This will be a member-led session featuring techniques that work well together. This is part 1 of 2.
