Knitting in the Daytime (KIND)
Our August 21 meeting will be a continuation of our July program of stitching together our charity blanket squares.
At the end of our July meeting, it was suggested that we continue stitching our knitted blanket squares together. So please bring your darning needles and crochet hooks.
We will also be discussing plans for the programs that members would like presented, Valarie Nicholson will bring surveys as a jumping off point for our 2025-26 year.
CHH Spinners
The Contemporary Handweavers of Houston (CHH) hosts spin-ins twice a month, the first Saturday of each month from 10-1 pm, and the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm.
Both are held at the CHH Guild House, 1425 Blalock, 2nd floor.
If you are a spinner, bring your wheel, drop spindle or e-spinner and check out our group and the guild.

Saturday Cypress Knitters (SoCK)
SOCK will be having a class on double knitting.
Participants need to bring DK or worsted weight yarn, and the appropriate needles and two-color ways.
Knitters Night in Town (KNIT)
New president means new plans! Join us this month to discuss what you would like to do this year at the KNIT chapter – guests welcome!
Yarn and patterns for Knitted Knockers are still available for those wanting to participate in our most recent charity project.

Executive Board Handover Meeting
The Handover Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd at 8:30a-11:30a at the Trini Mendenhall Community Center!
Meeting is intended for all outgoing and incoming members of the Executive Board and the Chapter Presidents. Membership persons from the chapter level also welcome.
Please bring your green KANG binder for the handover meeting!!
Refreshments will be provided.
Knitters Night Out West (KNOW)
Join us for a sit n’ knit. No program – just knitting, crocheting and socializing.
Many of our members often come early to dine at the restaurant and show appreciation for their generosity in allowing us to meet there.
All KANG members and visitors are welcome!
Knitting in Kingwood (KIK)
KIK President Maggie was selected to host a KnitStars meetup!
It will take place at the same time and place as the normal KIK chapter meeting.

Saturday Cypress Knitters (SoCK)
SoCK: Planning, Sit-and-Knit, and Finished Projects
The program combines a sit-and-knit session with planning for next year’s programs. We’ll ask volunteers to claim a particular month. We don’t need you to know your exact program, just volunteer for a time slot. We’ll do the same thing for Door Prize volunteers. After that, we’ll show off finished projects and have a relaxing time sitting and knitting (or crocheting). Please join us!
