KNOW Meeting – Amigurumi

KNOW’s January meeting will be on Amigurumi, presented by our Guild’s very own Marie Knappenberger.
Amigurumi is the Japanese craft of crocheting small stuffed toys, such as animals, play food, or dolls. This will be a fun way to try out a new craft or share any items you have already made.
Visitors and members from other chapters are always welcome. We’re looking forward to seeing you on January 30th!

KIND Meeting – Mosaic (Colorwork pt. 1)

KIND will begin a series of programs on colorwork.

For January, we will focus on mosaic knitting. Mosaic is one of the easiest ways to do complex colorwork patterns but uses only one color at a time. Come join us at the meeting to learn about mosaic knitting and try out one of these patterns.

To participate, you’ll need two colors of the same yarn, a light and a dark (take a photo and use your phone to convert it monochrome/black-and-white to ensure good contrast!). For needles, you can use circular or straight needles, but select ones 1-2 sizes larger than you would normally use for that yarn.
